SERVPRO Commercial Water Removal In East Phoenix

SERVPRO Protects Paper Inventories in the East Phoenix Area from Water Damage

Inventory Sensitive Businesses Depend on Quick Water Extraction from SERVPRO

When flooding strikes a Phoenix business, the cost is much more than for a private residence. Besides the physical damage with the accompanying cost of cleanup, disposal, and repair, there are other losses. Each day is a loss of receipts, and if the doors remain closed for more than a few days, there is the loss of customers. In just a few weeks, the doors could close permanently.

That is why commercial water removal is so important to Phoenix businesses, especially smaller operations like print shops. With a business like this, SERVPRO restoration crews concentrate on removing standing water, drying inventory, and lowering the humidity inside the structure. Usually, we perform these tasks in a set order, but with so much paper, cardstock, and other products at risk from excess moisture, we have to begin all three as quickly as possible.

Our restoration crews bring in pumps and water extraction wands to pull water out of the structure. The commercial grade pumps are very effective and lower the water down to just an inch or two very quickly. Once the water is at this level, we switch to the wands to lower the level until it is only a thin layer over the floor surface. At this point, technicians use long-handled squeegees to push water off the floor and out the nearest exit. They follow-up this action with air movers to finish drying the surface.

At the same time, other crew members remove any inventory that is unaffected by the water to temporary storage inside or outside the structure. Then, they use more air movers to force warm air over the affected inventory to dry it. To increase the effectiveness of the air movers, we also set-up fans at exit points to draw moist air out of the structure.

Additionally, SERVPRO crew members set-up dehumidifiers to start drawing moisture from the air. Depending on the humidity level, these machines can draw over 20 gallons of water from the air and surrounding property every 24 hours.

After water floods a business, not everything is restorable to its original condition. For SERVPRO of East Phoenix, the goal is to help every print shop, factory, or donut place reopen its doors as soon as we can provide a dry, safe environment. If you need our services, call (602) 507-6163 today to find out what we can do for you.
